Managing ADHD Naturally without Medication – For Adults with ADHD

· my story ·

Managing my ADHD symptoms without medication came out of necessity for me after being diagnosed with Coeliac Disease. It wasn’t an easy transition to do things naturally but I learned how to manage my symptoms using ordinary things in my environment, and changing my environment. And I feel a lot better off after doing so. Now I’m not a doctor and I went off my medication under the supervision of a Doctor, Psychiatrist, and nutritionist. I suggest you seek medical advice from these people as this post is not designed to offer that.

If you follow my work through Pinterest (@Gutidentity) you will know that I post a lot of content on ADHD and general health and well-being ideas. But out of all the content that I post, my ADHD content generates the most discussion. I would say that around 95% of the feedback is positive, but there is a small minority of accounts who provide feedback to suggest that I must be a ‘neurotypical’ person posting until they discover that YES, I do myself have ADHD!!! What these accounts seem to dislike the most, is the positive strategies that I share that can actually help some people.

It’s a sad, sad world if we can’t suggest positive strategies that work for us without being criticised. What’s great to see though, is that many other accounts have also voiced their opinions stating this too. I guess what some people don’t realise is that some of us can’t take medication, or have chosen not to for some reason. And that’s ok! We all have our reasons for doing things and no one should be put down for that.

So here are my top strategies yet again for helping those who can’t or don’t want to take medication for some reason. Are they a cure? NO! But they do help some of us function in our daily lives and live the best life we can.

I’ve written an eBook based on the strategies which is now available through my Etsy store. It covers the 10 main points outlined above and is broken down so it’s not too overwhelming – well at least that’s the goal.

So if you’re interested in finding out what I do and how I live my life, check it out on Etsy by following the link below by clicking on the image – it will take you straight to my shop!

and it now includes ‘The adhd planners’

Upon reflection, I’ve included the planners that can be used alongside the eBook. These can be used as a guide to help plan the strategies explained in the eBook. We are all different so what might work for me might not for you. It’s important to adjust the strategies to suit your unique needs and situation and seek medical and psychological support to help you.

You can also find me on Pinterest where I post regular content and Idea pins that hopefully help others with their daily life, health, and general well-being.
